AffiliationGood Shepherd Community of Faith is aligned with the American Baptist Churches (ABC) USA (by way of the Rochester Genesee Region) and with the United Church of Christ (UCC) by way of the Western New York Churches in Covenant. It is an active member in good standing with the Network of Religious Communities, the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, and the Alliance of Baptists.
People and ResourcesA mission oriented church, Good Shepherd, supports numerous activities that enhance the quality of life in its community. While serving as a haven for all who need support, Good Shepherd houses a community table, a teen center, AA, and other activities.
Church Staff and Ministry TeamThe church staff consists of the Pastor, a part-time secretary and a part-time custodian. The Ministry Team is the elected, representative body that guides the ministry of the church. The team has nine members: the Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, and five at-large participants. These nine people meet with the Pastor on a regular basis to discuss the needs and goals of the congregation. Twice annually, the congregation meets to make larger decisions that require the input of the entire body. The annual meeting is held in June, and the budget meeting in November.
